HTC might bring Sense 5 to HTC One X, X+, S and HTC Butterfly
HTC recently introduced the revamped Sense interface in the form of version 5.0 along with HTC One smartphone. The interface is much lighter and cleaner than company’s previous Sense iterations.
Many of the One X, X+ and most importantly Butterfly users were wondering if they will by lucky enough to get the Sense 5.0 interface officially on their phones.

Samsung Galaxy Note 800 getting Android 4.1.2 update in India
Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 update to Galaxy Note 800 aka Note 10.1 users in India. The update is now available via Kies as well as over-the-air download.
The update is 147MB in size and brings multi-window support for Chrome and Gmail, better word prediction in default keyboard and other goodies. However, multiple users are reporting that the current update has removed the S-Pen settings from their settings panel on the tablet. Even S-Pen shortcuts are not appearing after the update. 
There is no change-log available right now, but we are actively tracking it and will update the post if we find it.

Sony Xperia Z Android 4.2.2 update coming by end of March: Report
Sony is reportedly going to release the Android 4.2.2 update for Xperia Z smartphone by the end of March in Europe, claims Xperia Blog. The blog claims that a tipster has given them this information along with the following screenshot from an Xperia Z phone running on test build of the same software.
Sony Xperia Z has just started retailing in the first European markets like France and it would have reached most important markets in the continent by the first week of March. So providing the latest Android version update soon after the market availability indeed seems like a great move from the company.

Samsung begins Galaxy Note Jelly Bean update roll-out
Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Note users. Reports are coming in from Germany, Taiwan and Hong Kong; the users have started receiving notifications on Kies about the update.
There is no word on OTA release right now, but it should begin shortly. As most of the update are released in phases, you might not get the update notification right-away, but it would reach your smartphone in the coming days.

HTC Droid DNA getting OTA software update
Verizon has started rolling out a software update for HTC Droid DNA smartphone earlier today. The update, which is 103MB in size, brings several important bug fixes and improvements to the smartphone.
The software is being released over-the-air, so you will a notification on your smartphone, whenever the update is ready for your device.

Android 4.2.2 update reaches Nexus 4 [Manual update instructions]
Google has finally started rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for Nexus 4 smartphone a few hours ago. The update is now available over-the-air, but similar to most other updates, it is being released in batches. So, it might take days to reach every Nexus 4 unit.
The update brings few improvements to quick settings, new sounds, few changes to app download status bar, security fixes and performance improvements. It reportedly also removes any traces of LTE support, which were present in the Nexus 4 software.
You can manually check for the update by going to Settings>>About Phone>> System Updates, however Google will automatically notify you when the update is available for your phone.

Update Galaxy Nexus to Android 4.2.2 manually [How To]
Hours ago, Google released Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy Nexus smartphone. About 46MB in size, the update brings stability and performance improvements to the smartphone. There is no detailed change-log available right now, but we will update the post, in-case anything pops up.
Folks at XDA were able to get hold of the update file, which can be downloaded using this link (this is for takju build, use this link for yakju).
As not everyone gets the OTA right-away, we are posting instructions for manually updating your Galaxy Nexus. The process is made for advanced users, so if you are not comfortable doing any of this, please don’t proceed.

Android 4.2.2 OTA update out for Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 10 & Nexus 7
Google has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 devices. As always, the update is available over-the-air (OTA) and you will get a notification on your device to download and install the update. You can also manually check by going to Settings>> About Phone/Tablet>> System Updates.
The OTA update for Nexus 10 is 47MB in size and it brings stability and performance improvements. There is no word on the size of update for Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 7, which is expected to be around the same 50MB. (Update: Galaxy Nexus update is 46.4 MB)

Android 4.1 coming to Optimus 4X HD, L7 & L9 in H1: LG Hong Kong
LG Hong Kong has revealed on its official Facebook page that the company will be releasing Jelly Bean update to Optimus 4X HD, Optimus L9 and L7 smartphones in the first half of this year. LG Hong Kong has not given any exact time-frame, so we will have to wait and watch.
Also, given the past track record of LG in providing software updates to its Android device, we are not very confident even about the first half schedule.
All three 4X HD, L9 and L7 currently run on Android 4.0 with company’s Optimus UI on top. The Jelly Bean will bring the latest software improvements like Project Butter, UI updates, enhanced notifications, homescreen changes, Google Now and more.
