Android users sue Google; Samsung files another lawsuit in US against Apple
Two Android users in Michigan, United States have sued Google for allegedly tracking their whereabouts for which one would normally need a court ordered warrant.
They want to represent other Android users as well and seek USD 50 million in damages and a court order requiring Google to stop tracking Android users.

Motorola today announced that it has shipped around 250,000 units of Honeycomb tablet Xoom in the first quarter. These numbers might not be great but are decent considering the analysts were expecting shipments around 25,000.

Google has announced that Nexus S will soon get the Video Chat support in Google Talk via the Android 2.3.4 update. The update will be rolled out to all Nexus S phones in the coming weeks. Company also announced that rest of the Android 2.3+ devices will get the update in future.
Google eBookstore coming to India, other countries?
It seems in next couple of days, we might see the rollout of Google ebookstore in more countries. The reason behind this hunch is the sudden visibility of Google ebooks in Android Market.
Living in India, I have never seen Google ebooks in Android Market, as the feature was only live in United States and so was standalone Google ebookstore. It might be a test rollout before the actual launch, but Google Book Android app is still not available in India, so I was really able to download any ebooks.

Android Market crosses Apple App Store in terms of free apps
Android Market can become largest App Store in next five months
According to the latest report released by app store tracking company Distimo, Google’s Android Market has outnumbered Apple App Store in terms of the free apps on the platform. Android Market has a total of 134,342 free applications, while the Apple App Store features 121,845 free applications.
Among other revelation from the report, if each app store continues on its current growth rate, Android Market will cross App Store in the total number of apps as well.

Gigabyte has launched an entry-level Android phone in Taiwan along with Chunghwa Telecom. Dubbed as Gigabyte G1317S, it will be available for a retail price of NT$6,900 (US$238). It is also known as Gigabyte GSmart in other markets.
