Asus to announce Honeycomb tablets in Australia next week

NTT Docomo announces eight Android devices in Japan

NTT Docomo today revealed its summer line-up of new mobile devices, and eight smartphones out of that line-up run Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread. These smartphones are from manufacturers like Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG and more.

They come with Japan specific features like mobile-wallet (Osaifu-Keitai) and infrared-based data exchange. These Android devices will reach the stores starting sometime in early June.

Samsung announces Gingerbread update roll out for Galaxy S, Ace, Fit, Gio, Mini, Tab

Samsung has officially announced that it will start rolling out Android 2.3 update to a series of Galaxy devices from mid-May. Samsung will be updating Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab, and Galaxy Ace/Fit/Mini/Gio. Galaxy Mini is also called Galaxy Pop is some markets, so don’t worry Pop will also get updated to Gingerbead.
