Huawei to launch Ascend Mate in June for INR 29,000: Report
Huawei India is reportedly planning to launch its 6.1-inch Ascend Mate smartphone in the Indian market next month. According to online reports, the phone is expected to be priced around INR 29,000.
Originally showcased at Consumer Electronics Show in January this year, Huawei Ascend Mate features a 6.1-inch 720p display and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core processor. The phone runs on Android 4.1 and comes pre-loaded with the company’s Emotion user interface. Other features of the phone include 2GB of RAM and 8MP rear camera. Google hires Noah Falstein as Chief Game Designer
To work on Google’s rumoured gaming service?
If Noah Falstein’s Linkedin profile is any indication, Google has hired him as the Chief Game Designer last month. There is no word on what this gaming veteran is working these days, but we think – he is probably a part of the team behind Google gaming service that was spotted in Google Glass APK tear-down.
The APK tear-down suggested that Google is working on some kind of Apple Game Center and Amazon Gamecircle competitor, which will most probably be included in next Android version. We are not sure right now whether this gaming service will be released as a part of Android 4.3 or 5.0, however we would put our bet on 5.0.

Motorola XFON appears in leaked photos
So, is this how Motorola going to spell X Phone – XFON? Seems like that. Images of this so-called Motorola XFON have appeared online. Posted by evleaks, the phone in these images looks very similar to the prototype Motorola phone that was leaked in Vietnam few weeks ago.
There are no accompanying details and even part of the phone is concealed by some cover. Still, we can spot a few things in these images –the phone seems to be headed to AT&T in the United States and also, it is running on stock Android, as promised by Motorola design chief in a recent interview.

Verizon Galaxy Note 2 getting Android 4.1.2 update
Verizon has started rolling out a software update for Galaxy Note II users in the United States. The update is now available over-the-air (OTA). 246MB in size, this update brings many new features including support of multi-window in more apps.
The Android version is also getting bumped to Android 4.1.2 with this update.

LG, Google working on next-generation Nexus smartphone: Report
It is not the first time that we are hearing about LG’s involvement in the Nexus 4 successor but each new report further confirms the fact that we might actually see next Nexus phone from LG and these are not just some random rumours.
Korea Times is reporting that Google CEO Larry Page met LG Electronics CEO Koo Bon-joon during his recent trip to South Korea and both executives discussed varied range of topics including taking the partnership between the firms to a next level by working on OLED televisions, and even projects like Google Glass.

Angry Birds Friends released in Google Play
Rovio has finally released the Android version of its Angry Birds Friends game in Google Play. The game was originally launched Facebook last year, which most of you would already know given the endless posts from Angry Birds Friends in your Facebook news feed.
Angry Birds Friends is basically your normal Angry Birds but with a social twist. It allows you to participate in weekly tournaments and compete with your friends. Rovio also adds new levels every week to keep it interesting and competitive.

NVIDIA Tegra 4 powered Toshiba AT10LE-A shows its face
We are yet to see any Tegra 4 powered products apart from NVIDIA’s own Project Shield, but that seems to be changing today. The first images of rumoured Toshiba tablet AT10LE-A, which is allegedly powered by Tegra 4 quad-core processor, have appeared online.
Posted by Greek website Techblog.gr, these images offer a glimpse of this upcoming Toshiba tablet and its keyboard dock. Packing four A15 cores and 72 GPU cores, Tegra 4 is being touted as the fastest mobile processor by NVIDIA, but whether these claims are indeed true or not, we will know once this or any other Tegra 4 powered products hits market.
