iBall launches Andi 5L, Andi 5Li phones for INR 10,490
iBall has officially launched two new Android smartphones in the Indian market. Dubbed as Andi 5L and Andi 5Li, the phones have been priced at INR 10,490.
Coming to the smartphones, iBall Andi 5L packs a 5-inch WVGA display, 8MP rear camera, 1800 mAh battery and 512MB RAM. The phone also comes with the stylus support, which is the one of the key features that is different from Andi 5Li.

Facebook Home hits almost 1 million downloads, adds unofficial support for Galaxy S4
Facebook has announced that its Android launcher Facebook Home has been downloaded almost 1 million times since the launch. The company did not share any information about the active users, but given the ratings on Google Play, we think it is going to be pretty low.
The social giant also revealed that installation of Facebook Home has led 25 percent greater engagement among its users.
In related news, Facebook has silently started allows more device users to gain access to Facebook Home despite the lack of official support. Now, users with Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia ZL (probably Z too) will be able to use Facebook Home after accepting a warning message.

HTC, LG to introduce new flagship smartphones in Q3, 2013
Adding to the already circulating rumours, Digitimes is reporting that HTC and LG plan to introduce new flagship smartphones in the second half of the year. The phones will be announced sometime in Q3 to be precise.
As per the report, both companies want to be ready for the next Apple iPhone, which should be arriving around the same time.

XOLO Q2000 quad-core phone with 5.5-inch HD display, 13MP camera, JB leaked
Along with its first Tegra 3 smartphone Play T1000, XOLO is also planning to launch another smartphone in Q-series. Dubbed as Q2000, the phone will be powered 1.2GHz quad-core processor (probably MediaTek made). 
According to information gathered by Android Nova, XOLO Q2000 will feature a 5.5-inch 1280x720p HD display, 13MP rear camera and Android 4.2. The phone will also come with 2MP front camera, dual-SIM support and 2500 mAh battery.

Amazon working on two smartphones including one with 3D display: WSJ
E-Retail giant Amazon is reportedly working on two smartphones, instead of the previously rumoured one, reports Wall Street Journal. The paper also reports that one of these two smartphone features 3D display.
According to WSJ, the 3D smartphone packs high-end specifications and the display can show 3D images without the need of glasses. The phone packs retina-tracking technology, which enables the images on the smartphone seem floating above the display like a hologram and appear 3D from all sides, paper notes.

Sony Xperia A specs and images appear online via FCC filing
Images and key specifications of Sony’s rumoured Xperia A have leaked online thanks to the smartphone’s FCC filing, which was uncovered yesterday. As per the FCC filing, Sony Xperia A features a 5-inch 1080p display and comes with a 2300 mAh battery.
The battery is removable, and gives access to micro-SIM slot and microSD card slot, which supports upto 64GB of external storage. The phone also packs 13MP rear camera, LTE connectivity and 16GB of built-in storage.

LG to launch LTE TDD 4G smartphones in India this year
LG has announced today that it will be launching LTE TDD supported 4G smartphones in the Indian market this year. The company also revealed that its LTE TDD devices will also go on sale in Saudi Arabia, China, North America, Japan and Australia in 2013.
“LTE TDD is a superior alternative in some countries due to its flexibility in uploading and downloading content,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “We’re excited to offer consumers LTE TDD capable smartphones based on our unparalleled knowhow in 4G LTE technologies. With the commercial introduction of LTE TDD service, LG will build upon its expertise in 4G LTE by offering future device options utilizing this standard.”

Bluestacks takes on OUYA with GamePop game console
Bluestacks, better known for its Android app player for Windows and OS X, is jumping in the casual gaming console segment with its GamePop console and subscription service combo.
The GamePop game console hardware includes the console and controller, which consumers can grab for free with one year of subscription this month, after which the hardware is likely to cost around $100 (the final pricing is yet to be decided).

Lenovo K900 India launch delayed till May 20: Report
After first reporting about the Lenovo K900 India launch, NDTV Gadgets has now backtracked and is stating that the release has been delayed. The site is saying that we can expect the K900 launch around May 20 in the country.
Lenovo K900 is world’s first smartphone with Intel Clover Trail+ Atom Z2580 processor at core. It is rumoured to be coming with INR 25,000 price-tag, however it seems highly unlikely to us given the Chinese pricing of the phone – 3299 Yuan (INR 29,168). It is more plausible that we will see a pricing close to INR 30-32K.

XOLO’s first Tegra 3 phone Play T1000 leaked online, launching soon for INR 15,999
XOLO is really trying hard to be different from other home-grown mobile phone makers in India. Offering Intel powered smartphones and providing OTA software updates are two such steps in the same bid. Now, the company is reportedly planning to offer a NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC powered Android phone in the country. Dubbed as XOLO Play T1000, the phone is expected to be launched this month.
It might not be the first Tegra 3 phone in the country, but it is certainly the first from an Indian company and will be the cheapest of all Tegra 3 offerings.
