Telecom operator Idea Cellular is going to launch its third 3G Android smartphone later today. Dubbed as ID 918, the smartphone is already listed on the telco’s website and is available at Flipkart.com.
Idea ID 918 is a dual-SIM GSM smartphone, which runs on Android 2.3, and comes with 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen. Other features of the smartphone include 3.2MP camera, and 1300 mAh battery.
Idea is also offering special benefits to the ID 918 buyers, who will be getting 3G packages as well as free recharges worth Rs. 2340.

Id 918 is the 3rd model in the range of smartphones from Idea Cellular. I have purchased this phone.
My Phone shows that RAM 87MB used and 57 MB Free
It means it has 144 MB of total RAM
Its a basic phone that comes with out SWYPE keyboard ,
If u install SWYPE it will consume abt 16 MB of internal memory and 14 MB of RAM .
and about processor — as i checked the details of this phone at gsmarean – there are not mentioned the manufacture of the processor .
and as i analised the perfomace , It is really poor .
Camera Quality – in DAY LIGHT – its ok not good.
But in night of Low light —- It is very poor.
PC SUITE FOR THIS — i have downloaded it from ALCATEL website and installed .. It is the worst PC suite that i have ever seen
I could not manage Contacts.. nothing.
It does respond at all .. very poor graphics and user interface ….
and there were four pre-installed application that needed updates…I have not updated due to lack of memory .
and ya the Key board is not good.
over all – if u want to see a android phone with IDEA TAG in your hand — then its OK .
But u want a decent phone that is easy to use and good performance .
Its not the right choice
i think micromax or others like them might be better .
But it is really not a good phone
in this price range — go for ” Galaxy POCKET or Y Duos”

Hello, It seems to be a good phone as compare to its MRP .
It costs about 5500 Rupees here in local market of JAIPUR .
You can use it for internet at PC .
Here i wana ask ..
1. It comes with in-ear ear phone , or normal ear phone ?
2. Does it support Multi touch functionality (i.e Pinch to zoom , )
and
3. can we receive calls at 2G sim card while using 3G internet service either at PC or phone ?
4. This phone is SIM LOCKED or UNLOCKED . means to say , can we use other networks SIM in this phone.
5. It is Dual stand by phone or not…
6. Does it have GPU (Graphical Processing Unit ) .

Ofcourse, it has Android inside it and hence you can.
But you cannot access the apps made for the ICS as it doesn’t have ICS but there aren’t still may apps that exclusively need ICS
