As reported a few days ago, Intel and Lava have officially confirmed their partnership today and announced the launch of Lava XOLO X900 Android smartphone. It will be available in the Indian market sometime in the next quarter on Airtel & Aircel.

“We are proud to partner with Intel on XOLO to bring a superior smartphone computing experience to customers in India. Over the last two and a half years, we have built our business in the feature phone segment where Lava has been the brand of choice for nearly 10 million Indian customers. With XOLO, we intend to now serve the discerning and fast-paced smartphone customer, which is where this collaboration with Intel is critical to us.”

Lava Xolo is going to be a great phone in India and abroad if pricing is done the right way. It has great specifications with nice looks.

I do have the domain name — http://www.lavaxolo.com and if anyone is willing to buy it please email me at mylavaxolo@gmail.com
I expect price of 50 dollars only but the price is negotiable. Thanks.

Going to be a great move from lava. If they can market it with good price since we are a price sensitive nation, should be a hot cake.

it is destined to fail because to continue the track record of other Indian companies like Olive & Notion Ink they will bring the phone to the market at a time when the hardware and software get outdated! :(

Wow! Well if they make it run ics out of the box and price it aggressively, it may sell good. But regardless of the performance, the single core cpu on the spec sheet will definitely be a deal breaker for those who prefer the smartphone with the most cores in it.
