German Co 1&1 launches Android tablet

German web hosting company 1&1 has launched an Android based tablet. It will be given free to its new subscribers, while the existing ones must purchase it. Nothing fancy about this device, normal specs with 7-inch resistive touchscreen, 500MHz ARM11 processor with 256MB RAM/1GB ROM. It is powered by Android 1.6, but is expected to be updated to Android 2.2 in September this year.

Being a tablet device, it can not access Android Market, so the company has put in its own app store, which currently has over 100 titles.
