Promptu Systems Corporation today demonstrated an Android version of its ShoutOUT voice-to-text mobile phone application powered by PayPal X.
ShoutOUT for Android, now scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2010,is Promptu’s first mobile voice-to-text application to incorporate PayPal’s new Adaptive Payments APIs for giving users secure, easy-to-use payment options while on the go.
ShoutOUT for Android lets users dictate messages in fluent, natural speech, instead of typing on the phone’s touch-screen keypad. Fully automated transcriptions of SMS messages or updates to Facebook and Twitter are returned in real-time and can then be reviewed, edited and appended before sending.
